So, turns out that I won’t be going to Thailand after all! I’m not the most organised person, and the YWAM Thailand team doesn’t seem to be the most organised either (or maybe I’m just super disorganised), and so after getting a few things straight and clear, I discovered that I simply did not have nearly enough money to go. Ahh, the disappointment!
So what now? I have no idea! Well, there are ideas, but which path to take isn’t clear yet. Get a job and earn money and go somewhere later this year? Go teach English somewhere for half a year or so? But that won’t earn me a whole lot of money. Or I could do a DTS here in England (cries) – I love you England, but I really want to go somewhere new! It would be a whole lot cheaper though…
So I’m thinking and praying, and my parents are thinking and praying, and I’m struggling with the idea of going to work to earn money because I hate it. Working isn’t so bad, it’s just the kind of work that is available. Waitressing. Bar work. Retail. Ah, so boring! I’ve done them before, and I want to do something new! Being a receptionist perhaps. That might be novel for a few weeks. But as it is now, because I’m not sure what and when I’m going to go do something else, committing to a certain length of time is a little tricky. 5-6 months seems the best right now I guess. So, there’s an update! No Thailand, and no idea what the future holds for the next half a year!
New Year’s resolution – be more organised! (Then maybe this whole mess wouldn’t have even started in the first place!)
